VIDEO: Georgetown Women Prep For Big East Championships

Last week, I attended practice with the Georgetown women’s cross country team as it prepared for the Big East Cross Country Championships this Saturday. Star senior Emily Infeld and crew ran a race pace workout simulating the course and conditions of the national championship course in Terre Haute, Indiana.

The workout was run at the Polo Fields in Washington D.C., not far from some of the nation’s most famous sights. The Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial are among the icons seen in the video.

Thanks to coach Chris Miltenberg for taking the time to accommodate my visit and for allowing me to tag along with the team for the day.
