After not running a spring marathon and battling from some injuries after the New York City Half, Meb Keflezighi is back and ready to race for the first time on the streets of his hometown of San Diego as a professional. I had a chance to speak to Meb earlier today. See the interview below.
Meb’s biggest challenger in the half marathon is Martin Lel. After being known as the world’s best marathoner for many years, Lel suffered from three years of injuries but returned at this year’s 2011 London Marathon to place second. Martin discusses his return and the Kenyan selection process for the Olympic marathon team.
